What We Do

CPRE Northamptonshire campaigns for a beautiful and thriving countryside.   We seek to protect and promote it, locally and nationally, for all to enjoy both now and in the future. 

 

It is under threat from many directions.   Global warming is the most significant and we do all that we can to ensure that development and land use take full account of this.  We are passionately concerned that those proposing change do so with the Climate Crisis at the forefront of their minds.

 

Satisfying the needs of people for houses and jobs need not be incompatible with a beautiful countryside.   We see the protection of our unspoilt landscapes from unsympathetic development as an important part of our role as the countryside charity.

 

Protection and promotion of the countryside are at the heart of all that we do.
